Velo Funding Group LLC (“Velo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides merchant cash advance and business funding services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit velofundinggroup.com (the “Site”), submit a funding application, or otherwise interact with us.
By using the Site or submitting information to us, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. When you request funding, submit an application through our Site, or communicate with us, we may collect:
- Business information: legal business name, DBA, entity type, federal tax ID (EIN), business address, industry, time in business, and revenue information
- Owner and contact information: name, title, email address, phone number, mailing address, and ownership percentage
- Financial information: bank statements, bank account details, merchant processing statements, accounts receivable information, tax returns, and other documents you provide for underwriting
- Identity information: date of birth, Social Security number, and driver's license number, where required for identity verification, underwriting, or funding documents
- Any other information you choose to provide in applications, emails, calls, or other communications
Information we collect from third parties. With your authorization, we may obtain information about you and your business from credit reporting agencies (such as Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax), banks and financial institutions, merchant processors, public records (including UCC filings and business registrations), referral partners and independent sales organizations (ISOs) who submit your application to us, and identity verification or fraud prevention services.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring pages, including through cookies and similar technologies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect Site functionality.
2. How We Use Information

- Evaluate and underwrite funding applications and verify the information provided
- Verify your identity and the identity of business owners and guarantors
- Fund approved advances and service your account, including processing ACH transactions and payment reconciliations
- Communicate with you about your application, your account, payments, and our services, by email, phone, and text message
- Perform collections activity on amounts owed under funding agreements
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including anti-fraud, anti-money-laundering, and disclosure requirements
- Maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our services
- Enforce our agreements and protect our legal rights
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information as follows:
- Service providers. We use third-party providers to operate our business, including website hosting, database and data storage, email delivery, payment/ACH processing, document management, and analytics. These providers are permitted to use your information only to provide services to us.
- Credit bureaus and financial institutions. With your authorization, we exchange information with credit reporting agencies, banks, and processors in connection with underwriting, funding, servicing, and collections.
- Referral partners / ISOs. If your application was submitted through a broker or ISO, we may share the status and outcome of your application and related deal information with that referral partner.
- Professional advisors. We may share information with our attorneys, accountants, auditors, and similar advisors under duties of confidentiality.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Velo, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. If Velo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to reasonable confidentiality protections.
- Assignment and syndication. In connection with the assignment, participation, or syndication of funding agreements, we may share related account information with assignees or participants.
4. Text Messages and Calls
By providing a phone number, you consent to receive calls and text messages from us regarding your application and account, including through automated dialing systems and prerecorded messages, as described in your agreements with us. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP; servicing and transactional communications may continue as permitted by law.
5. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold, including access controls and encrypted storage for application data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your own credentials and notify us immediately at office@velofundinggroup.com if you suspect unauthorized activity.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal, regulatory, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the requirements that apply to it.
